JET Parallel Clamps

Oustanding clamps. Little more beefy than bessey. JET has the quick release trigger, bessey does not. JET has a rule etched into the bars for quick setup of the clamps, bessey does not. Being new to wood working I've tried both JET and bessey clamps and I have to say the JET line is a better clamp than bessey. 5 star

Better clamps than the Bessey

I agree with Classic TV's earlier review. I initially ordered Bessey's clamps since the reviews made them appear better than Jet's. The Bessey packaging was extremely poor, the box was broken and one clamp was sticking out of the box. Some pieces were missing too. I returned the Besseys and ordered the Jet clamps instead.The packaging for the clamps is excellent, with enough padding and a strong enough box so that the clamps do not move inside the box and protrude through it.The Jet clamps have the inch markers on them as well as a fast release clutch, so it's a lot easier to dial them to the approximate size of the item you need to clamp. The only things the Bessey clamps had which the Jets do not are two little plastic pads that attach to the clamps and keep the work piece away from the clamp's metal rail. They make it easier to clean the glue that sticks out under the rail, while it's still wet.

clamps capable of handling any situation

excellent quality, these clamps keep items aligned and are strong enough for all jobs. very precise. jet makes quality tools at affordable prices for all hobbists.
