Great washer.By Scott Frimming
I bought this washer with only one review and it was bad. I'm glad I did not let the review influence me. Thing is that I think the person just has bad luck, so don't let this reflect on the quality and reliability. Spin cycle is super fast and shake free. Drum is quite large and swallows large loads with ease. The washer is very quiet and with all the wash options and the tub actions you can really tell the laundry is going to get thoroughly clean.

Extreamly poor serviceBy HT1
Purchased LG washer on 02Dec12, when it was delivered it did not work. The first technician that diagnosed it could not figure out what was wrong and stated that it needs to be sent back. LG sent out another technician who stated that a part needs to be backordered, the part never came in and was backordered again. It is going on three months now and we have to go to a laundry mat because LG and Appliance Connection cannot figure out what is wrong with their new model washer and are unwilling to exchange it or take back the set.

Tears clothes to shreds. You've been warned.By In-the-anomaly
This LG is brand new and already destructive. I opened my load of whites tonight to find my two beautiful cotton nightgowns ripped to shreds at the bottom. The entire bottom of one was ripped off and hanging by one part in the back. The other had the same rips and damage, but the more of the bottom was still attached. Both are destroyed. These were washed on the cotton setting with ONE extra rinse. Cotton nighties, cotton setting. So be prepared for your fancy new washer to be rendered useless for washing anything you value. Now I'll only use the delicates setting and lingerie bags until they come out and either haul the flipping thing off or fix it. I got the warranty per my parents and sister's encouraging because my sister had problems with her new washer as well (my mom just said it was also an LG-with mold issues). I saw no reason to because my Kenmore front loader I bought 12 years ago only JUST started having issues. But in the end I did get the warranty via Home Depot. Apparently that was wise. 12 years running with my Kenmore versus 1 month this LG. Consumer's Reports rates this one of the best washers out there in terms of cleaning. It does clean well, but is that enough? It's capacity is also huge and that is what made me buy it, but I don't want to see anyone go through the anger I am going through over this--something this expensive destroying things after a month. I'm raging and infuriated. Do no companies make a quality product anymore? I have posted the pictures on the Home Depot's web reviews if you would like to see the damage. I wish I could attach the shots here.
